At the southern end of the Whitsunday Passage is the beautiful “Brampton Island Resort”. This resort is set on a magnificent island that is zoned as a National Park and is one of the most beautiful places where you can lose yourself in its beautiful surroundings. The resort is a four star standard and provides a wonderful tropical resort ambience. The resort itself is situated on the northern side of the island and ferry services operate from the Mackay boat harbour on a regular basis. The island also has its own local airport and flights are available from Mackay or Hamilton island airports.

The aquatic activities here will fill your days with enjoyment. You can take a jet ski tour right around the island or you can relax around the pool and play on the beach with sailing catamarans, canoes, kayaks and wind surfers. The swimming pool is unique with a rock retaining wall protecting it rfom the ocean. Bushwalking on the island is extremely rewarding. There are four different types of rooms on Brampton Island that range is standard. These include Palm Rooms, Island View rooms, Ocean view Rooms and Premium Ocean view rooms. There are also plenty of dining options and the Bluewater restaurant is the main dining option. You can also take an evening dinner cruise or eat under the stars at Sea Salt.
